Student Activities
The Sage School is guided by one simple mission: to allow gifted children to realize their full potential. In addressing the needs of gifted students, we never lose sight of the fact that these children are more than just high test scores and exceptional academic abilities. Each Sage student is a whole person, and is nurtured and respected as such.
An important component of our specialized curriculum for gifted children is flexibility and breadth; not just within the classroom, but also in a wide variety of additional activities to engage and enrich the whole child.
Co-Curricular
Students are active in the life of the school through several programs that are embedded in the day-to-day experience. Sage students are encouraged to develop their leadership skills and civic awareness through several programs such as:
- Student Council
- Community Service Projects
- Junior Division Newspaper
- Cross-Division Buddy Programs
- Trips and Presentations
Afterschool
Through our afterschool clubs, students have received accolades in many areas including chess, Scrabble, math, Destination Imagination, and Model UN.
In addition to aftercare and supervised study, The Sage School has a robust afterschool program with a wealth of choices and opportunities for students to explore beyond the classroom. The school offers a variety of academic, recreational, arts, and athletic clubs and programs each year.
