The Sage Afterschool Enrichment Programs provide activities that support, enrich, and encourage the development of lifelong skills. This is accomplished by providing a range of activities that bring together like-minded peers in an environment that promotes academic advancement, fosters teamwork, and encourages healthy competition. Sage’s Afterschool Enrichment Programs are expanded learning opportunities that support appropriate cognitive, social, physical, and emotional outcomes. We offer an array of activities not always available during the traditional school day – catering to the diverse interests and passions of our students.
The Afterschool Enrichment Programs are offered on campus, every term, for a ten-week period, directly following the regular school day. Programs are taught by Sage faculty and staff as well as professionals from the community. A brochure is sent out every summer to all our families, with detailed descriptions of the clubs and activities that we anticipate offering during the academic year. Each term, registration forms are sent out in advance for students to sign up for programs pertaining to their division and age. Some programs are popular, and early registration is suggested. A formal sign-out process ensures safe dismissal of our students at the end of the programs each day. Students also have the option of going to aftercare or supervised study after their program ends.
At The Sage School, students may participate in a variety of academic, recreational, arts, and athletic clubs. Some past offerings have included the following activities:
- Athletic Programs including soccer, basketball, and ultimate frisbee
- Chess Club
- Clay Animation
- Performing Arts
- Math Club
- Model UN
- Art Exploration
- Scrabble Club
- Middle School Musical
Clubs and sports vary each academic year by division and term.
Through our afterschool clubs, students have received accolades in many areas including chess, Scrabble, math, and Model UN. Students have the opportunity to share what they have learned with the entire school community, during our all-school assembly every Friday.
