Class Trips & Presentations
In addition to numerous museum visits and theatre performances, field trips have included tours of ecotariums and scientific research labs, wildlife sanctuaries and naturalist centers, the Christa McAuliffe Space Center, and historical walking tours.
In-house presentations have ranged from performance artists to geodome-building tutorials, traveling indoor planetariums to historical reenactments.
Overnight class trips include hiking experiences and multi-day excursions to Spain, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Montreal, Quebec City, and Costa Rica.

| 2/19/2010 In connection with our study of the American Civil Rights movement, middle school students read Walter Dean Myers biography of Malcolm X entitled, By Any Means Necessary. Rather than a traditional written report, students were asked to create a visual representation of the life of Malcolm X: posters, paintings, sculptures, or any creative avenue they opted to pursue.

| 2/19/2010 Leonard Zon, a head stem cell researcher from the Boston Children's Hospital, along with several graduate students, visited the 6th Grade science lab to conduct an interactive presentation on his work with zebrafish and disease prevention.
