The Sage School Welcomes Tim Monroe as Head of School
Tim Monroe officially began his appointment as fourth Head of The Sage School on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. In February, Tim was the unanimous choice of the Head Search Committee, and their recommendation was unanimously endorsed by the Board of Trustees.

Sage Student Cooks Up Winning Recipe
Sophie P., a Sage third-grader, won the grand prize of a $10,000 savings bond in the “Kitch’N Kids with 3-A-Day of Dairy” recipe contest with her Snowy Casserolly dish. The contest was sponsored by Stop & Shop, 3-A-Day of Dairy, Cabot, Dannon, and Garelick.

Sage Student Going to State Geographic Bee
Jason S., a Sage fifth-grader, has been named by the National Geographic Society as a state semifinalist in the 2008 Massachusetts Geographic Bee.

Sage’s Director of Admission to be Honored with MAGE Public Service Award
The Massachusetts Association for Gifted Education (MAGE) will recognize Nancy Surgenor, Director of Admission at Sage, as recipient of a 2008 MAGE Public Service Award at their Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 12, 2008.

Renowned Psychologist, Michael Thompson to Speak at The Sage School
Michael G. Thompson, Ph.D. will be speaking at The Sage School on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 pm. Dr. Thompson’s workshop on, “Best Friends, Worst Enemies: Understanding the Social Lives of Children," is free and open to the public.

Members of The Sage School Middle School Math Team placed first in the MetroWest Chapter of the MATHCOUNTS competition at Walsh Middle School in Framingham, Mass. on Saturday, February 9, 2008.

2008 New England Conference on Gifted and Talented Education Slated for Mansfield, MA
Faculty and administrators from The Sage School are working closely with educational leaders across New England to plan the 14th Annual New England Conference on Gifted and Talented Education which will be held in the neighboring town of Mansfield, MA in October 2008.

Katherine G. Windsor, Head of School and Shelley Reese Cornish, Director of Development & Alumni Relations at The Sage School have been selected to share best practices with their peers at the National Association of Independent Schools’ 2008 Annual Conference.

Windsor Accepts Appointment as Head of Miss Porter's School
Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, CT announced the appointment of Katherine G. Windsor to be the next Head of Miss Porter's School, effective July 1, 2008. This appointment was made by the Board of Trustees at its most recent meeting.

Sage Alumnus, Jonathan H. '04, a Sixth-Form (12th grade) student at Portsmouth Abbey School, in Portsmouth, R.I., has been named a Semifinalist in the 53rd annual National Merit® Scholarship Program.

Search Firm to Visit Campus for Community Input, Nominations for Search Committee Being Accepted
Consultants from the head search firm, Gregory Floyd & Associates, will be meeting with Sage’s Board of Trustees September 17, 2007 and will be visiting the campus September 24 and 25, 2007 to meet members of the Sage community and gather information. Additionally, nominations for Search Committee members are being accepted through Friday, September 14, 2007.

The Sage School has engaged the services of head search consultants Gregory Floyd & Associates.
The Sage School Board of Trustees has appointed its Vice President, Jeanne Cummings, as chair of the Head Search Committee.
