Sage’s Model UN Club at Northeastern University

On Saturday, November 17, twenty-two Sage Middle School students attended a Model UN Conference at Northeastern University sponsored by the United Nations Association of Greater Boston. Model UN is a simulation of the United Nations in which students assume the roles of United Nations delegates. Sage delegates Sami A. and Bridget C. won a coveted award for Best Delegation on the SOCHUM committee. Jessica R. and Ben S. brought home an honorable mention for Public Speaking, and Jordan D. and Shubhum G. won an honorable mention for Negotiation.

At the Northeastern conference, Sage students developed their diplomacy, negotiation, and public speaking skills while representing the countries of North Korea, Peru, Cote D’Ivoire, and Algeria. More than 360 students took part in the conference. Good work, diplomats!
